Getting the Best Price with Cx

Finding your publication size

VettNews pricing brackets are based on a simple traffic metric divided up into three segments. The traffic metric is the average unique visitors per month from the past year. If your analytics engine doesn’t easily give you this information, take the total annual unique visitor number and divide it by 12.

If you don’t have an analytics engine in place, Wolfram Alpha has an excellent traffic estimator. Using Wolfram Alpha you can search your publication’s website and use the “Daily Visitors” number it provides to do the calculation this way: ((Daily Visitors) x 365)/12.

  • If your average unique monthly visitors are less than 150,000, your publication fits within the lowest bracket which costs $15 per month before discounts.

  • If your average unique monthly visitors are between 150,000 and 300,000 your publication fits within the middle bracket price range which costs $50 per month before discounts.

  • If your average unique monthly visitors are between 300,000 million and 1 million your publication is the highest tier, which costs $500 per month before discounts.

How does pricing work for chain newspapers?

If your publication is a chain with multiple properties take the average unique visitors per month from the past year from each publication and add them together to find your publication size.

What discounts are available?

Are you a member of a state press association, industry affiliate or libel insurer? You may have a discount available to you as a member perk. Please let us know and we’ll be sure to send you the appropriate discount codes.
